For collaboration

If you work on interpretability, causal discovery, neuroscience, or applied health methods and see overlap with our program, send a short note about what you’re working on. We especially like problems where there’s real ground truth to test against.

For funding and grants

We collaborate on grant proposals and nonprofit-funded research. As an independent group, we work through fiscal sponsorship for administering awards rather than as an incorporated entity — happy to discuss the right structure for a given opportunity.

A note on affiliation

Mechanistic Research is an independent research group. We are not affiliated with any university; members hold their own institutional affiliations, which they list alongside the group on shared work.
